Alabama Turkey Hunting Regulations

Important rules and requirements.

Gobblers Only

Only male turkeys (gobblers) may be harvested.

Daily & Season Limits

One gobbler per day; four gobbler bag limit during combined fall and spring season.

License Required

Valid Alabama hunting license and turkey stamp required for all hunters.

Decoy Restrictions

Decoys prohibited during first 10 days of season. Mechanical decoys are illegal.

No Baiting

Hunting with bait is illegal in Alabama.

Harvest Reporting

Must record harvest immediately and report within 48 hours via Game Check app.

Written Permission

Written permission from landowner required (provided upon booking).
